About the artist:
Ann Opgenorth has many large commissions for public and private installations, including the Risen Christ at Epiphany Parish in Lake City, FL.
Ann received a B.A. at Marycrest College in 1963 and a MFA at Notre Dame University in 1966. She taught junior high art several years, then became assistant professor of art at Marycrest College until 1977. She opened Century Studio, later Ivy Ridge Studio, with Donna Marihart in 1964.
Ann was in partnership with Donna Marihart running Ivy Ridge Studio in Iowa for 25 years and here in Florida for 15 years. She is now sole proprietor of Ivy Ridge Studio and specializes in welded and brazed metal sculpture in steel and in copper, both full round and wall pieces.
